The second annual Holy Child Awards Dinner will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the Millenium Biltmore Hotel, 506 South Grand Avenue in Los Angeles, CA. View the invitation. We are very grateful to the many Holy Child alums and friends who have agreed to serve on our honorary committee. At the 2010 Holy Child Awards Dinner, two individuals who embody Cornelia's compassionate zeal, steadfast faith, and vision of "meeting the wants of the age" will be honored. The evening will begin with an Open Bar Cocktail Reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and the Award Presentation. Catherine Heenan, a news anchor and reporter with San Francisco's KRON 4, will serve as emcee. Faith in Action Award Recipient John Alcorn will be honored with the Faith in Action Award, which honors individuals who exemplify the characteristics of Cornelia Connelly. These individuals witness day-by-day an awareness of the presence of God and a spirit of joy, active love, generosity, and courage.
Marie Kanne Poulsen, Ph.D. will be honored with the Holy Child Spirit Award. This award recognizes individuals who exemplify the characteristics of service unique to the Holy Child tradition by using their gifts to make a difference in the world.
